As I have a tendency to ramble I thought I would get me, the blog and you caught up in bullets. Here goes:
Going home to NJ - amazing. i miss driving on the highway in NJ. the road-rage was like poetry. bagels and pizza to die for and i got to drink some amazing 20 year old bourbon. mmmmmmmm....
Thanksgiving - awesome, filled with food, family, fun and my specialty martinis:)
Reunion - so fun. a few glitches at the beginning, but i ironed them out. everyone is hot! we ate, drank and danced and popped open the time capsule we assembled at graduation. the cops came to the after party, so you know we had a great time!
OK, so now that we are up to speed, let's talk about this weekend. My "weekend" started on Thursday night with Cocktails For Anissa at The Greenhouse Tavern: an event thrown by the great Chef's Widow to benefit a fellow blogger and her family. Not only did it feel great to help someone I have never met, I got to eat great food and put names to tweets as I met some of my internet friends for the first time. It was great!
The best part of the night was when my girl-date, the Fabulous Mel showed up with the now infamous AB and introduced me to Glogg. Sweet Jesus that stuff is good!!!! I must say it was a great way to start a girl-date. After enjoying some great food and more *moan* Glogg, we headed out to The Near West Theater to see The Wiz. Umm...hmmm. Let's skip the review and just say that Mel and I missed out on the second act. We did both score a pair of sweet green glasses though and decided to head back to The Greenhouse Tavern to make sure the Glogg was still good.
I had a great night and had a blast with Mel (although, I don't think you can take us anywhere) and look forward to more nights like it!
Stay tuned for my review of B-Spot, where we celebrated the boyf's 30th!
