mianus, canine anus, anus, anus, anus: a wedding weekend

Well, I'm back from my Canadian/New Jersian adventure and I think I need another vacation to recuperate! Having spent 50 hours in a car this week, I can safely say I experienced every human emotion known to man (and some I'm pretty sure that I invented). Not only did I get to witness my dear friend (since the 1st grade!) get married, I got to help my pops blow out 50 birthday candles, hug my future sister-in-law, and see beautiful Nova Scotia. Wow! When I spell it out like that it sounds like a breeze! Let's just say it didn't go down so smoothly.

Don't get me wrong, I had a blast catching up with old friends and traveling. One of the highlights of the trip came when we were driving past Mianus, CT. My two lovely traveling companions and I had about an hour of Mianus fueled laughter. Awesome. On the opposite end of the anal spectrum was my friend's bout of food poisoning, which we determined was a result of eating her weight in lobster the day before. She was miserable and I can't believe what a trooper she was!

The trip was a blast and I won't even begin to describe it. I'll let the pictures do the talking. I will say that Chester, Nova Scotia is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited and I highly recommend going during race week, when the entire town gets drunk and watches boat races (and the town fills up with hot, tan sailors grrrrrrrroooww!). Also, Nova Scotians are some of the warmest, most welcoming people I have ever met!

Here are some pics of the fun:

The best friends anyone could ever have!

Sometimes I can't believe we've been friends for over 20 years

After a whirlwind of a weekend and a funny mishap with my best friend in a Wendy's bathroom with this guy and his wife:
My hero

I arrived home to my parents house to find a very sick pupperstein who was puking and shitting blood.  I know: graphic.  Two trips to the AnimERge and $350 later my poor little guy is finally eating again and on the road to recovery.  Seriously though, I don't understand how people cope with being parents.  I was so freaked out about my little guy, I almost died.  Maxwell and I appreciate all of the support on Twitter.  If you want to brighten his day even more, then vote for him in the Cutest Dog Competition

Although I am exhausted, I am so glad I got be be apart of so many momentous occasions this week. An engagment, a birthday and a wedding. On the other hand, I could have done without the sick dog, 50 hours in a car and friend with food poisoning. Sorry if I sound a little anal;)
